Q&A with Pat Sanderson

England International and Worcester Warriors captain Pat Sanderson takes time out to answer our questions
Name: Patrick Sanderson
Age: 28
Club: Worcester
Position: Backrow

Q: How do you stay fit and healthy?
A: Running round Rugby pitches twice a day tends to look after the fit part, as for being healthy playing rugby usually means I'm not, particularly on a Sunday morning after a tough game.

Q: As a young player, what should you concentrate on most tackling or passing?
A: It's probably just as important to practice both but passing is more fun so if you concentrate on the tackling then you'll probably get the balance about right.

Q: Which position is the most important on the field?
A:
As a backrow I'm always going to say backrow but you'd get a different answer from the halfbacks as they think they run the game!

Q: Who is the best player you have ever played with or against?
A:
AS it stands at the moment I'd have to say Tana Umaga. Great player with no real weaknesses.

Q: If you could play any other positions, what would it be?
A:
I'd quite like to play prop for a game, just so I realise how fortunate I am to be a backrow.

Q: How do prepare for a big game?
A:
I'm very superstitious, particularly on game day, it would take too long to talk you through it.

Q:  What is your greatest rugby achievement?
A:
When you're losing it's always tough but we've got a great set of lads at Worcester and usually it's the team spirit that shows through when are backs are to the wall.
