Premiership Rugby Academy : Camps & Courses : 'Be Your Best' Easter Camp at Strensall a Huge Success

The 5 day 'Be your Best' Premiership Rugby Academy Camp at Strensall in Yorkshire, in the Easter Holidays run by Sale Sharks, Leeds Tykes, Newcastle Falcons and the British Army, in association with O2, was a huge success with camp attendees coming from as far away as America to learn the specialist skills on offer.

Attendees, aged between 14 and 17 years old, benefited from master classes from top Premiership coaches and players, as well as taking part in team building and leadership skills games run by the British Army including an inflatable obstacle course, shooting, paintballing and an aerial ropeway slide. In addition, attendees also took part in the O2 Kick, Pass and Run Challenge, the countrys biggest rugby skills competition involving a series of kicking, passing and running skills tests.

Sale Sharks and England winger, Mark Cueto, said "It was great be there and meet some of these young players and see what they were doing. When I was younger I was considering going into the services, and a camp like this would have really interested me. The rugby coaching they were getting was from some of the best youth coaches around, and that combined with the other activities provided by the British Army has created a fantastic course. I was glad I was able to add to that experience and pass on some of my knowledge to the attendees."
