"Ever since I went on the Sale Sharks Residential Camp at Catterick my rugby live has been turned upsde down. I learnt a lot at the camp and had a fantastic time. When Sharks approached me to come to EPDG sessions it was just the icing on the cake. I have attended every session and worked hard at what the coaches have told me, and it is amazing that I have now been awarded this place with the England Under 16 Academy

Tom was spotted by Sale Sharks Assistant Academy Manager Phil Leck at the camp last year, who spotted his good basic skills and hard work he put in, and has since attended Sale Sharks Elite Player Development Groups. He will also be attending the same camp at Catterick this year, which is now sold out.

"Toms talent stood out at the camp but he was very raw," said Phil Leck. "We have coached him through the EPDG sessions and he has worked very hard to get better. The place he has been awarded has been achieved through hard work and I am delighted that Tom is making such progress. Hopefully he will continue to progress through the Sharks Academy into the first team squad."
